Automatic Investment Plan

Before performing the Cost Averaging activity on a policy, source and target funds must be identified. The source fund is identified in the AIP From Fund allocation.  The target fund(s) is identified in this allocation.

Allocations are set-up from the Allocation link in the Left Navigation menu. Once configured, use the Activity Detail window and the Allocation link to make changes.

Note: Allocations cannot be changed in the Cost Averaging activity. They must be changed on the policy allocation before the activity processes. This applies to both target and source allocations.

Steps to Identify Target Allocations for Cost Averaging

  1. Open a policy.
  2. Click the Allocation link on the Left Navigation menu.
  3. Select the number of funds to use as the target.
  4. Select an Allocation Method from the Allocation Method drop down box.
  5. Select the fund(s) that will be designated as the target from the Fund drop down box.
  6. Enter an amount or percent in the Amount field then scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Save
